Sara Johnson - Principal

Sara Johnson is the Principal of Rocky Branch Elementary School. Mrs. Johnson began her teaching career with Oconee County Schools in 2008. As a classroom teacher, Mrs. Johnson taught Reading/Language Arts and Special Education. Mrs. Johnson has a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Grades Education from Georgia College and State University. She holds an M.Ed. in Special Education and Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. Previously, she served as Assistant Principal at Oconee County Primary School and Assistant Principal at Oconee County Elementary School.

Kandice Ivarie - Assistant Principal

Kandice Ivarie is the Assistant Principal of Rocky Branch Elementary.  Mrs. Ivarie began her teaching career in 2004. As a classroom teacher, Mrs. Ivarie has had experience working with students K-5.  Mrs. Ivarie joined the Oconee County School System as the Assistant Principal of Rocky Branch Elementary in 2018.  Mrs. Ivarie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University.  She holds an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University.  Prior to coming to Oconee County Schools, Mrs. Ivarie served as a gifted coordinator, a curriculum support teacher, and an instructional curriculum coach.  Mrs. Ivarie’s philosophy as an Assistant Principal is to always put students first. The school's motto of "Recognizing the Brilliance in Every Student" is one that Mrs. Ivarie truly believes in.
